Ice Flowers
One January morning, I went to a local mountain creek to shoot patterns in the ice and found a partially submerged bouquet of flowers. Intrigued, I went back over the course of several days to see how they changed. In the photos below, you can see how individual flowers changed based on variations in weather conditions and time of day. In some cases, they were above the ice while in others, they were submerged. When I last saw the flowers, they had pretty much decomposed.
